Sounds great even with the default settings. All of my music sounds fuller and it feels like Im in the middle of everything. I was worried about the ads because of another review but I just paid for the full version and the ads are gone now. Thanks for the cool app!

After using this app for over a week, I use it for all music playback. I can’t stand listening to ‘normal’ stereo anymore! Overall the update works great and is smooth on iOS8. Only issue was the iAds staying on after purchase however upon reboot, ads went away.

All my songs are just better… like WAY better. I don’t know how else to describe it. I don’t know what was missing before, but now I don’t want to listen to any of my tunes without this app.

It took me a minute to figure out but if you click Restore after purchasing the upgrade the app resets itself. If youre past that step quit the app by double-tapping the home button and swipe the app up. On restart the ads will be gone. Also you can use the volume buttons on the side of the phone. They are tied to the volume slider in the app. Love the sound!

This app is fantastic. The sound quality is superb. Turning the astound sound features on and off during a song is a true testament to the capabilities of Astound Sound. A must for any true music fan.

I dont know why they dont have an iPad mini setting but the Braven speaker setting sounds fantastic on my mini!!! Love it. Lots of fun

I liked the more intensity setting of the free app but the less & most settings available w/ the upgrade make you realize this is an incredibly high tech calibration tool for your music.

This is simply the best sounding music app i’ve ever heard. It’s somehow converted my FJ Crusier into a rolling concert hall that sounds amazing without needing to crank the volume. The audio is crystal clear and has single handedly transformed the sound in my ride! I’m giving it 5 stars because the sound quality is out of this world. My only compliant is that the music player potion of it could use improvement. It offers some of the same limitations of stock Apple player and resetting the playlist is a bit of a chore. I spoke with their tech support and they said they are working on a custom music picker. I hope that future versions will be more intuitive…or maybe one day car stereo manufacturers will wake up to the fact that superior technology exists for under 3 bucks and is available today….it’s a no brainer, manufacturers need to check out this app.

I paid extra for the pro version - dont care about the skins but the extra audio settings are good. More headphone profiles pls. Also - it is a bit of a CPU hog. Expect reduced battery life.

I was interested in hearing the "3D sound." The first thing I noticed was that it made the music louder. It is well-known that people generally report louder as "better." When I tried to equalize the loudness of the "with 3D" and "without 3D" sounds, I couldnt tell there was a difference, except that perhaps the high frequencies had been given a bit of a boost. It is a well-known trick of audio products claiming to process sound in special ways to just boost the treble and bass frequencies. This wasnt a scientific test, but I couldnt tell that this app was doing anything useful, but it seems that you could get whatever benefits it might have with a volume control and, more generally, an equalizer, which would probably take care of the headphone simulations, too.

I find that the sound provided by AstoundSound is really quite a good enhancement for many recordings. It provided better audio performance enhancement compared to other similar apps. But the one downside is that Ive found the app to be unstable and can lockup requiring a restart of your device!!!! That is not acceptable and needs to be fixed for what is otherwise a great sounding audio enhancer. Using on an iPod Touch 64gb and also the paid upgrade version of the app. The user interface could be improved further too.

After having this app for a month I notice the many times this app will lock up. Sometimes must restart program and other times reboot phone. Worked fine for the first two weeks. Not sure if they will update the headphone profiles but that could use some work also. So overall a good app just needs more refinement.

Good free product. But there are better paid apps. Wish they had radio. Adding songs to playlist every time is annoying.

I dont know what else to say. This program is excellent! I am extremely pleased with this.

Below is a list of this apps issues: 1. App crashes! This happens when one adds to the playlist, switches device profiles, and multitasks... 2. Playlist doesnt accept new songs into current selection. 3. Extremely limited controls for surround sound. 4. Very few headphones, speakers, and car models supported. 5. Only accepts music from native music app. 6. Some songs sound degraded in this app. *7. IMPORTANT! This app is extremely CPU intensive. This in turn drains the battery very quickly.

I contacted Astound about a month or more back. Id reached out to them to find a solutions to the problem the app has with adding songs for play —the problem is one has to add each song to a playlist to listen them and each time the app restarts that process has to be repeated. This is unbelievably annoying and seems, a great flaw in the program. Shortly after my email I received a reply that said this was a recognized issue and that a fix was in the works very soon. I waited patiently, I think, for that promised update, but there has been no action on that front. I get that a asking for a refund is not a real incentive for a "fix" but thats the only leverage I have at this point. I like the app, but life is too short for minor annoyances that could and should be addressed. It kinda suckers!

Please fix the playlist. Having to add songs 1 at a time is very annoying. Playlist disappears every time I turn off phone. Cannot create custom playlist. Update please!
